How can I reserve a charger?
Once you have identified a charger that meets your needs, select the booking start and end times you desire on the reservations page and click Confirm. You can navigate to the reservations page in the following ways:
- Search the map and select a charger
- Click on a charger that you have saved in Favorites
- Follow the charger or reservation link that you saved or someone shared with you
How can I use Charge Now with the charger ID found on the charger sticker?
The Charge Now option is found in the menu or by tapping the orange circle on the map page in the EVmatch mobile app. Here is a video on How to Charge Your Electric Vehicle with EVmatch Using Charge Now.
Where can I see my past, current, and future charging sessions on EVmatch?
On the EVmatch app or website, you can review the charging session history under Charging My Car in the My Charges tab.
Where can I see my past, current, and future hosted charging sessions on EVmatch?
On the EVmatch app or website, you can review the charging session history under Hosting Transactions of the My Charges tab.
How do I know if my vehicle is charging?
We recommend checking the charging status on your vehicle's app or in-car dashboard. Additionally, if you are planning to use a JuiceBox charger, the LED light will flash green when your vehicle is charging. For Wallbox, the LED light will flash dark blue when your vehicle is charging. For Autel, the LED light will flash green when your vehicle is charging and you will see charging details including power and energy dispensed on the screen of the charging station.
How do I extend my reservation?
Simply go to the My Charges tab in your EVmatch account to view your charging sessions and reservations. You will see the Extend Reservation orange button. Up to 15 minutes ahead of your reservation end time, you can click on the Extend Reservation button, update the session end time, and click Confirm to extend your reservation.
How do I cancel my reservation?
If you need to cancel or change your reservation in advance as either a driver or host, log in to your account and click on the My Charges tab. From there you can cancel a charging reservation with the Cancel button as long as the session has not started (note, as a driver you can click End Session to end your charging session early if the session has already started).
No penalties will occur if you cancel your session within 2 hours of booking it. If you cancel a reservation more than 2 hours after the time of booking, the driver will be charged a cancellation fee of the lesser of $2.00 or the cost of the booking. If the driver is owed a refund after deducting the cancellation fee from the total fees for the canceled booking, the amount will be credited to the driver’s EVmatch wallet within a commercially reasonable time of the cancellation.
Hosts are not subject to cancellation fees, but we kindly ask that you honor the driver's reservation window for an optimal experience!
Will I be charged a fee for canceling a reservation as a driver?

How do I reinitiate my charging session on any of the following charger types that EVmatch is integrated with: Enel X JuiceBox, Wallbox Pulsar, or Autel MaxiCharger?
First, open the EVmatch app, navigate to My Charges, and click on either of the following buttons: Start Reservation or Restart. If the charger does not start after that, please unplug and replug the charger to your vehicle and re-tap the Start Reservation or Restart button.
How will I know when someone books my charger?
We send email, SMS, and app push notifications to the host when someone requests to book. Please be sure you are receiving at least one of these messages. If you unsubscribe from email notifications or they are going to your spam folder, you can ensure one or both of the other notification types are enabled in the General tab under My Account. You can approve or deny charging session requests under Hosting Transactions on the My Charges page.
If you do not respond to a booking request within 48 hours, the booking will be automatically canceled. We ask that you respond if possible to facilitate a positive experience for other EV drivers. If you know you won't be able to respond to requests, you can either enable Instant Booking on the My Listings page or Snooze your listing under the Vacation Mode section of My Listings.
How do you calculate pricing for the charging sessions?
Residential hosts enter their electric utility information, charger power details, and a markup margin between 0-30% when they create a charger listing. We use that information in our smart pricing calculator and add a small service fee (paid by the driver) to determine the total driver price.
Commercial hosts set a price per kWh or hour depending on what state they live in (if you have the option for either in your state, we recommend a kWh price because it is more clear and equitable for all EV drivers). Drivers will see Host, EVmatch, and total fees in the My Charges tab and through email receipts (the total fee is called Actual Price in the app). Drivers will see an estimated price upon booking, but the actual energy consumed may differ after the session is complete. In these instances, drivers will be charged the Actual Price based on the Actual Energy Delivered.
